2008 Cheltenham Festival races preview: Day 4

The final day of racing at the 2008 Cheltenham Festival is likely to bring the United Kingdom to a standstill as Kauto Star takes on Denman in the most highly anticipated race in decades. Gold Cup aside, the reshuffled day 4 Cheltenham Festival card features a host of great races and betting opportunities.

The final day on the 2008 Cheltenham Festival card gets under way with the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle featuring Chomba Womba as 5/2 favourite.

The hurdles continue with the 2 mile 5 furlong Ballymore Properties Novices Hurdle. Forpadydeplasterer heads the odds tables for this race, with Aigle D’Or and Group Captain also priced as serious contenders.
 
Arguably the most popular handicap hurdle at the Festival is the 2 mile 5 furlong Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle. Leg Spinner is set to win AJ Martin a race at Cheltenham Festival betting odds of 4/1.

Yet another great hurdle race will keep the crowd on their feet in the 2 mile 1 furlong JCB Triumph Hurdle. Paul Nicholls fields the race favourite Franchoek, widely tipped to win the race at 4/1 odds.

Excitement is set to reach fever pitch as the Kauto Star takes on Denman in the 3 mile 2½ furlong Cheltenham Gold Cup. Look out for Tony McCoy lseeking to score a massive upset on Exotic Dancer.

The 3 mile 2½ furlong Christie's Foxhunter Chase will take place in the aftermath of the Gold Cup. Agus A Vic is the favourite at 4-1 Cheltenham Festival betting odds, with Lou Du Moulin Mas not far behind at odds of 7-1.
